Ngaka Modiri Molema ready for provincial district NTA
Ngaka Modiri Molema district held its leg of the 17th district National Teaching Awards (NTA) at Mafikeng, Gaabomotho as a means of recognising and celebrating excellence in education. The ceremony was to honour teachers and highlight the importance of education in our society as reflected in the theme of the day “Teachers as Leaders for Inclusion “.
ANNUAL DEPARTMENTAL RCL SUMMIT
Communication Directorate of Department of Education and Sport Development hosted the annual Representative Council of Learners (RCL) Summit at Camelot Lodge, Stilfontein from the 08_10 September 2017. The purpose of the summit was to commemorate the 41 years of 1976 language uprisings where 200 RCLs from all the four districts of the province were invited to discuss the language, culture, sport and recreational challenges experienced by the youth today.
NW EDUCATION AND SPORT DEVELOPMENT TO HOST INVESTMENT LEKGOTLA
The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Jonas Lehari will lead a Departmental Investment Lekgotla. The main objective of the Investment Lekgotla is to invite the business community to partner and strategize with the department in the provisioning of quality infrastructure to schools and sport facilities across the province.
THE CAPE TO MAHIKENG WALKER
North West Provincial Government welcomed Thato Molosankwe of Lomanyaneng Village who arrived in Mahikeng on the 09th of August 2017 after embarking on a 1317km walk from Cape Town to Mahikeng, raising awareness against all forms of abuse, including women and children abuse.
Bokonebophirima ready for National Indigenous Games Festival
The division of Sport and Recreation in the North West Department of Education and Sport Development hosted Provincial Indigenous Games on Saturday, 5 August 2017. All participants from the four districts of North West Province embarked on a battle to reclaim the victory by representing their district in the Provincial Indigenous Games. The games played at Brits Sports Complex at Brits Bojanala district.
